Ancient world meets adrenaline

Wildlands is a local family business where you go to have fun, reconnect with nature and discover the wild.  It is a unique adventure park, set on 20 acres of woodland in the townland of Ballyquirke West, Moycullen, overlooking the stunning Ballyquirke Lough.

You can stay, eat, and play — with activities ranging from Celtic Challenge Rooms to Kayaking and Ninja Courses to Zip Lines.

 

Caring for the landscape has always been central to who we are. When we developed the park in 2018, we used local limestone from the site to shape our pathways. Little did we know that these very rocks contained extraordinary fossils — corals, crinoids, and brachiopods — remnants of ancient life beneath our feet.
We were delighted when Moycullen Heritage highlighted these fossils in our park. This discovery is a powerful reminder of the rich natural history that surrounds us. We are now excited to collaborate with Moycullen Heritage to share this story, developing a ‘learning space’ to foster greater awareness and appreciation of our geological and cultural heritage.  Faye Bohan, Co-Owner & Director
