After being rained off on our first attempt, we finally managed to coordinate our schedules and film at four different locations to tell the story of our fossils.
Hazel Morrison and Paula Lydon explored fossils and folklore at An tSean Reilig, the place where the inspiration for our project first began. Dr Karen Molloy shared the significance of fossil pollen at Ballyquirke Bog, before we moved on to the Rocks Road and the Esker, where Emeritus Professor Martin Feely decoded the limestone landscape.
Although we didn’t manage to film as planned in “Mary’s garden”, that segment has now been recorded by ourselves and is available separately.
A big thank you to Damien and Dylan from GK Media for their direction and support on the day, and here are a few clips of the day captured by Moycullen Heritage.
