Learn about the rich history and heritage of our village – from the village cross roads through to the flora and fauna of our woodlands and canals. A guided walk and talk through the village and Killarainey woods, stopping at noted points of interest – bringing you from the modern age to ringforts, from the RIC to the rising and from penal mass gatherings to a pre-famine granary. Learn about travel on the Bianconi coaches and the old Galway- Clifden railway – an hour to learn about several hundred years – time worth spending
